The Evergreen Chamber Orchestra is thrilled to kick off our 45th Season Masterworks Concert Series with a program that promises to delight and inspire on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Rockland Community Church in Golden, and Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM at First Universalist Church of Denver.

Embark on an enchanting musical journey with us starting with an intimate world premiere commissioned from long-time ECO cellist and arranger Mike Marecak, titled Variations On O’desayo. Next, the spotlight shines on guest soloist Masakazu Ito, internationally acclaimed classical guitarist and Music Director of the Colorado School of Mines Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Mauro Giuliani‘s virtuosic Guitar Concerto No. 1 in A Major

Our season opening program culminates with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s festive and joyful Symphony No. 36 in C Major, “Linz”, an ambitious masterpiece composed in just four days.

Next we open the Fall Masterworks program celebrating local creativity with the world premiere of The Intangibles by Colorado composer Cindi Hsu, whose richly colorful storytelling captures sincere human emotion.

We are then honored to welcome guest soloist Jason Shafer, Principal Clarinetist of the Colorado Symphony, performing Mozart’s serene and operatic Clarinet Concerto in A Major.

To close our Fall concerts, we present Franz Schubert’s vibrant Symphony No. 1 in D Major, a youthful work bursting with scampering classical energy and symphonic joy.

Shake off the winter chill and embark on a thrilling musical journey with the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra on Saturday, March 13, 2027, at 3:00 PM at Rockland Community Church in Golden, and Sunday, March 14, 2027, at 3:00 PM at First Universalist Church of Denver.

We open our Spring Masterworks program with Inexplicable, a brand-new commissioned work by local composer Bob Bassett that captures our ensemble’s unique spirit. Next, we travel to the sultry streets of South America with Astor Piazzolla’s nuevo-tango masterpiece, The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, featuring virtuosic local guest soloists Lydia Sviatlovskaya on violin and Evan Orman on cello.

Our program concludes with Robert Schumann’s revolutionary Symphony No. 4 in D Minor, a soaring four-movement symphonic fantasy performed continuously without pause.

Join the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra for a sensational grand finale to our 45th season on Saturday, May 1, 2027, at 3:00 PM at Rockland Community Church in Golden, and Sunday, May 2, 2027, at 3:00 PM at First Universalist Church of Denver!

We launch this celebratory afternoon with a world-premiere piece composed by our very own Music Director, William Hill.

Next, popular local favorite Jamie Shaak joins us on piano to perform Maurice Ravel’s jazz-infused Piano Concerto in G Major, a dazzling work filled with Gershwin-esque rhythms, deep emotion, and high-speed virtuosity.

We wrap up our anniversary season with Antonín Dvořák’s iconic Symphony No. 9, “From the New World”, a majestic masterwork rich with American spirituals, sweeping horizons, and unbridled hope.

Our popular Chamber Recital Series returns, featuring memorable performances by ECO musicians and friends in small groups. Join us for these wonderfully intimate performances throughout the season at St. Laurence Episcopal Church in Conifer!

ECO’s family-favorite Colorado Mountain Holiday Concert is back again! Join ECO for a fun holiday-themed concert featuring favorite sing-alongs like Jingle Bells, festive music such as selections from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, beautiful seasonal works like Silent Night, the winner of ECO’s Young Artists Solo Competition, and our annual collaboration with the Evergreen Chorale’s Altezza and Director Christine Gaudreau

These concerts are wonderful for children and adults alike with a visit from Santa at the 3pm performance.

ECO’s incredibly popular Young Artists Solo Competition is returning for its fourth edition!

Are you a musician of high-school age or younger? Interested in performing with one of the top chamber orchestras in Colorado? 

Apply to audition before our panel of judges, including ECO Music Director William Hill and ECO Concertmaster Katherine Thayer – and compete for the chance to perform with ECO!
